RONNIE'S BIO 9. - THE LAPTOPS AND THE BOOK (A LAPTOPOK ÉS A KÖNYV)
1. The Laptop Story
The 95 WIIL ROCK show in Grayslake, IL, which was meant to take place on 9/24/2022 was suddenly cancelled by Ronnie Radke for the reason of their laptops missing. Ronnie himself announced the bad news in a TikTok video, and explained why those laptops are indispensable for their show.

There were certain fans who posted their disappointment on social media, but the cancelling didn't turn out to be a big deal until the radio&TV personality Eddie Trunk mentioned the incident in his podcast and harshly condemned Ronnie for not being able to hold a concert without laptops. His opinion was that it is not rock music that cannot be performed on stage without electronics. Ronnie defensively called Eddie to account for his lack of understanding of the requirements of 21st century stagecraft, and assured him that many of FIR's songs need the background music stored on a laptop, because they contain R&B sounds that cannot be played live with traditional instruments.

Soon Sebastian Bach, former singer of Skid Row also joined the discussion, backing up for Eddie Trunk and stating that rock music's performances do not need laptops. Ronnie fired back with proof about old hard rock and heavy metal bands also using laptops at their shows, and the two continued fighting each other increasingly rough, until more musical personalities got involved, mostly on Ronnie's side. Seb Bach finally retreated from the argument, but Eddie Trunk kept mentioned it from time to time, and it always became a debate*.

On Aftershock Festival, 10/7/2022, which was FIR's first live performance since the laptop issue started, Ronnie decided to poke at Eddie and the old-school rockers who agree with him, and at the same time assert the electronics on stage. At the beginning of "Popular Monster", the keynote played from the recording was performed acapella, saying that the laptops went down. It only lasted a minute, but the crowd got the message, people laughed hard and the incident became a legend.

The book "I Can Explain" written by Ronnie Radke and Ryan J. Downey (former AltPress editor in chief) was finally released in December 2022. It was a project starting back in 2019, the first pre-orders were connected to VIP tickets sold for live concerts in late Autumn 2019. Then later, in 2020-21 Ronnie made pre-orders available on Twitch streams from time to time, and even later, since 2022 the pre-orders could be made on FIR's official merch site.
A Ronnie Radke és Ryan J. Downey (AltPress) által írt "I Can Explain" című könyv 2022. decemberében végre megjelent. Ez a könyv egy 2019-ben indult projekt volt, az első előrendelések a 2019. késő őszi koncertekre eladott VIP jegyekhez kapcsolódtak. Ronnie's table book is a comprehensive story of life, and as such, a deep emotional experience. Besides the quality implementing, the pictures and the heading quotes, Ryan J. Downey did an excellent work in text creation and text processing, while letting Ronnie’s honesty and openness being brought forward by his own words, phrases and humor. The plot is the path of a hero, and hopefully will be the guide to many young people stuck in the maze of drugs, loss of family and struggle with life in general.
