12. Apocalyptic Breakthrough (Apokaliptikus áttörés) 2022

 

At the end of year 2021 Ronnie Radke announced via Instagram the upcoming of a new song. Previously he had spoken about an EP planned for the future, which would be titled Neon Zombie. On January 4th, 2022, the band Falling In Reverse announced on their social networks that there would be a live broadcast on Ronnie's Twitch channel the following day, concerning the new release.

2021. végén Ronnie Radke az Instagramon bejelentette egy új dal megjelenését. Korábban beszélt egy előre tervezett EP-ről, ami a Neon Zombie nevet viseli majd. 2022. január 4-én a Falling In Reverse zenekar a közösségi oldalaikon bejelentette, hogy másnap élő adás lesz az új megjelenésről Ronnie's Twitch csatornáján.

In the mean time the lockdown ended and they could organize Live From The Unknown tour, with the same band lineup and the same setlist as it was on the stream video before.

Időközben a karanténnak vége lett, és megszervezhették a Live From The Unknown turnét, ugyanazzal a zenekari felállással és dallistával, ami a stream videón is szerepelt.

Zombified (Jan. 2022) Epitaph Records

1. Zombified

The song was officially released on January 5, and presented via Twitch live stream. The band claimed it would be the first single from their upcoming Neon Zombie EP. The song bursted out as a true banger. Ronnie left the rap stage aside again, and opted for a style closer to hardcore and heavy metal. He wasn't neglecting the breakdown and riffs either, which often identify FIR with the rawest deatchcore style as well.

A dal hivatalosan január 5-én jelent meg, és a Twitch élő közvetítésén keresztül mutatták be. A banda azt állította, hogy ez lesz az első kislemez a közelgő Neon Zombie EP-jükről. A dal igazi durranásnak bizonyult. Ronnie ismét félretette a rap világát, és a hardcore-hoz és a heavy metalhoz közelebb álló stílust választott. Nem hanyagolta el a lelassulást és a riffeket sem, amelyek a FIR-t nem ritkán a legnyersebb deatchcore-al azonosítják.

"Zombified"'s lyrics are a stand against cancel culture, wherein celebrities or popular online personalities get "canceled" for certain actions, regardless of how long ago said actions were, and whether or not the offender had changed as a person.

"I wrote 'Zombified' about how sensitive society has gotten, in my opinion. I think we all need to learn to laugh a little more. I pulled out all the stops for the 'Zombified' video, for the fans, YouTube reactors, and all people alike."

A "Zombified" szövege a kirekesztő kultúra ellen foglal állást, aminek értelmében ismert embereket és népszerű online személyiségeket "kirekesztenek" bizonyos tettekért, függetlenül attól, hogy azok mennyivel korábban történtek, és hogy azóta az elkövető személyisége változott-e vagy sem.

"A "Zombified" arról szól, hogy mennyire érzékeny lett a társadalom, véleményem szerint. Úgy gondolom, mindannyiunknak meg kellene tanulnunk egy kicsit többet nevetni. Minden gátlást nélkülöztem a "Zombified" videóban, a rajongók, a YouTube reagálók és a hasonló gondolkodású emberek számára."

The music video was directed by Jensen Noen and shows Falling in Reverse fending off against zombies in a post apocalyptic world. It turned out to be a mini-movie as the previous ones, rich in spectacular scenes like UFOs' arrival or a dragon monster sculpture came to life.

The music video won Best of Festival - Music Video at the 2022 Richmond International Film Festival.

"Zombified" hit the weekly charts the next day after the release. Entered #1 on US Mainstream Rock (Billboard). It was still present on the year end charts of 2022, #44 on US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs (Billboard) and #40 on US Rock Airplay (Billboard).

Ronnie's partner and professional wrestler Saraya uses "Zombified" as her entrance music in All Elite Wrestling since her return to stage in October 2022.

A "Zombified" a megjelenést követő nap már felkerült a heti slágerlistákra. Az US Mainstream Rock (Billboard) listán 1. helyezett lett. Jelen volt a 2022-es év végi slágerlistákon is, 44. a US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs (Billboard) és 40. a US Rock Airplay (Billboard)listáján.

Ronnie partnere, a profi pankrátor Saraya a "Zombified" dalt használja belépőzeneként az All Elite Wrestlingben, mióta 2022. októberében visszatért a ringbe.

Voices In My Head (May 2022) Epitaph Records

1. Voices In My Head

The song was released on May 31, 2022,  as the second single from the band's upcoming EP Neon Zombie. It was again produced by Tyler Smyth and Ronnie Radke, with the collaboration of  Charles Massabo and Cody Quistad. The song also marks the return of bassist Tyler Burgess to the band.

A dal 2022. május 31-én jelent meg, mint a zenekar soron következő, Neon Zombie EP-jének második kislemeze. A producerek újfent Tyler Smyth és Ronnie Radke voltak, Charles Massabo és Cody Quistad közreműködése mellett. A "Voices In My Head" ugyanakkor Tyler Burgess visszatérését is jegyzi a zenekarba.

The theme of the song is referring to hypochondria, issue Ronnie had been suffering a lot from lately. Nonetheless, with the music video (directed by Jensen Noen) Ronnie wanted to project a different, much more general problem:

"I wanted to capture what it’s like battling with your your past, present, and future perception of self, and the voices in everyone's head hindering them from their full potential".

A dal témája a hipochondriára utal, amitől Ronnie az utóbbi időkben sokat szenvedett. Ennek dacára a videoklippel (rendezte Jensen Noen) Ronnie valami más, egészen általános problémát szeretett volna megmutatni:

„Szerettem volna megragadni, milyen érzés küzdeni a múltaddal, jeleneddel és jövőbeli önfelfogásoddal, valamint a mindenki fejében zajló hangokkal, amelyek akadályozzák az embereket abban, hogy teljes potenciáljukban éljenek.”

After "Zombified" being such a big charts' hit and stirring up music industry at both professional and political level, it was a true achievement to top it once again, making this new event even bigger than the previous one. "Voices In My Head" contains much heavier riffs than "Zombified", in fact it takes one step further in hardcore, while brings back rap again, overall surpassing impossible.

Miután a "Zombified" nagy sikert aratott a slágerlistákon, és felpörgette a zeneipart szakmai és politikai szinten is, igazi teljesítmény volt ismét az élre kerülni, és ez az új esemény még nagyobb lett, mint az előző. A "Voices In My Head" sokkal keményebb riffeket tartalmaz, mint a "Zombified", valójában egy lépéssel előrébb lép a hardcore-ban, miközben visszahozza a rap-et is, összességében felülmúlva a lehetetlent.

The song reached 12 million streams in just one week on all platforms, implying 1 million views just on YouTube. Entered #1 on Germany Rock Airplay (Official German Charts) and   #5 on US Mainstream Rock (Billboard). It was still present on the year end charts of 2022, #8 on US Hot Hard Rock Songs (Billboard) and # 21 on US Mainstream Rock (Billboard). 

A dalt mindössze egy hét alatt 12 millióan streamelték az összes platformon, ezen belül 1 millióan csak a YouTube-on. 1. helyezést ért el a Germany Rock Airplay-n (hivatalos német slágerlisták) és 5.-et a US Mainstream Rock-on (Billboard). Jelen volt a 2022-es év végi slágerlistákon is, a US Hot Hard Rock Songs 8. helyén (Billboard) és a US Mainstream Rock (Billboard) 21. helyén.

In Summer 2022 the band joined co-headlining Papa Roach and Escape The Fate and Bad Wolves backing bands on "Rockzilla 1st Leg" tour all around the U.S. 

2022. nyarán a banda a társfőzenekarral, a Papa Roach-al és két előzenekarral, az Escape The Fate-el és a Bad wolves-sal együtt részt vett a "Rockzilla 1st Leg" turnén az egész USA területén.

In the late Summer of 2022 Ronnie Radke announced the cancelling of a show for the reason of their laptops missing. He made a TikTok post about it addressed to the festival organizers. The media picked up the story and soon Ronnie found himself in the middle of a huge professional dispute of the music scene. (⬇⬇⬇)

2022. nyarának végén Ronnie Radke bejelentette, hogy lemond egy show-t a laptopjaik eltűnése miatt. TikTok-on osztott meg egy, a fesztivál szervezőinek címzett videót róla. A média felkapta a történetet, és Ronnie hamarosan a zenei színtér hatalmas szakmai vitája közepén találta magát.(⬇⬇⬇)

 

In December 2022 another Ronnie-related event took place: the release of the long-waited and pre-ordered biography book "I Can Explain", to the fans' absolute delight. (⬆⬆⬆)

2022. decemberében még egy Ronnie-val kapcsolatos esemény létrejött: a régóta várt és előre megrendelt életrajzi könyv, az "I Can Explain" megjelenése, a rajongók legnagyobb örömére. (⬆⬆⬆)

By the end of 2022 Falling In Reverse found themselves on the top of many years charts, starting with Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs', ending with the lists of many radio stations. They even earned platinum for "Popular Monster" for the 2nd time. The "Popular Monster" and "The Drug In Me Is You" videos both reached 100 million views within the end of the year. Overall Ronnie seemed like making it to the very top of the music scene.

A 2022-es év végére a Falling In Reverse sok éves slágerlista élén találta magát, többek között a Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs-on és számos rádióállomás listáján. Még platinát is kaptak a "Popular Monster"-ért, immár másodszor. A "Popular Monster" és a "The Drug In Me Is You" videóknak egyaránt 100 milliós nézettségük lett év végére. Összességében úgy tűnt, hogy Ronnie Radke a zenei élet csúcsára jutott.

Falling In Reverse crossed into year 2023 with the constant teasing of a new single. The new release was announced to be "insane", Ronnie himself said that it will blow minds. We already knew it was somehow related to the music industry and presumably to the recent past events occured to Ronnie Radke. We still had to wait a month to pull the veil off the secret, but when finally FIR released it, it became clear that it was worth the wait.

The interview below was broadcasted on the radio in the morning of the new single's releasing day.

A Falling In Reverse egy új kislemez folyamatos beharangozásával lépett át 2023-ba. Az új kiadást "őrültnek" jellemezték, Ronnie maga mondta, hogy fel fogja borzolni a kedélyeket. Már tudtuk, hogy a témája valahogy a zeneiparhoz kapcsolódik, és feltehetően Ronnie Radke közelmúltbeli eseményeihez. Még egy hónapot kellett várnunk, hogy lerántsuk a leplet a titokról, de amikor a FIR végre nyilvánosságra hozta, világossá vált, hogy megérte várni.
