13. Watch The World Burn (Nézd, amint a világ ég) 2023

 

After months of waiting and weeks of teasing the new Falling In Reverse single, "Watch The World Burn" was dropped on January 31st, 2023. It was anticipated by an interview at DJ Who Kid's (see previous chapter) a short trailer and an announcer on Sirius XM radio the day before.

Hónapokig tartó várakozás és hetekig tartó előzetes után az új Falling In Reverse kislemez, a "Watch The World Burn" 2023. január 31-én megjelenésre került. Beharangozását a DJ Who Kid's interjúja (lásd az előző fejezetet), egy rövid előzetes videó és a Sirius XM rádió többszöri bemondása és bejátszása végezte.

The band had a dense period of time, the were on a short tour in December with Escape The Fate, playing at different radio shows, then they joined the one week long Shiprocked tour in January, and prepared themselves for Rockzilla 2nd Leg tour with Papa Roach again, from  February 1st until mid March. The new song was wedged in between Shiprocked and Rockzilla tours, and they played it live for 1st time not more than 2 days after it came out.

Sűrű időszaka volt a zenekarnak, decemberben egy rövid turnén voltak az Escape The Fate-tel, különböző rádiós rendezvényeken játszottak, majd januárban részt vettek az egyhetes Shiprocked turnén, és utána már a Papa Roach-al együtt készültek a Rockzilla 2nd Leg turnéra, február 1-től március közepéig. Az új dal a Shiprocked és a Rockzilla turné közé ékelődött, és a megjelenése után nem több mint 2 nappal már lejátszották az első koncerten élőben.

  1. Watch The World Burn

The video of the new song was posted on Twitter by Ronnie Radke, and it immediately blew up the app and the whole internet. "Watch The World Burn" seemed to be an absolute masterpiece, a Drake-style R&B mixed with heavy metal riffs, choire symphony and a deathcore breakdown. The 3:23 minutes song has no chorus at all, it's more like a journey from a restrained but tense rap, escalating in tones up to a specificly intense wordplay, and then descending into cruel deep metalcore.

A "Watch The World Burn" abszolút mesterműnek tűnt, egy Drake-stílusú R&B-vel, heavy metal riffekkel, kórusszimfóniával és deathcore-lebontással keverve. A 3:23 perces dalnak egyáltalán nincs refrénje, merő egy utazás a visszafogott, de feszült rapből, tónusaiban eszkalálódva egészen a kifejezetten intenzív gyorsbeszédig, majd aláereszkedve a kegyetlen mély metalcore-ba.

 
Ronnie turned back not just to rap/hip-hop in general, but to those certain rapping sounds and beats he was using oh his mixtape album in 2014. Though the musical base was multi-layered and much more elaborated, Ronnie's special fasttalk and Eminem-style of rapping was easy to be recognized. The heavy metal part reached back to "Self-Destruct Personality"'s or "The Westerner"'s punk-rock speeded choruses, and the breakdown was killing it like in "Popular Monster" or the "Voices In My Head". Despite these similarities "Watch The World Burn" came out truly unique and different sounding than any of the previous FIR songs. It was the special genre fusing again which made it unrepeatable.

Ronnie nem csak úgy általában a rap/hip-hophoz fordult vissza, hanem azokhoz a bizonyos rappelő hangokhoz és ütemekhez, amelyeket 2014-es mixtape albumán használt. Bár a zenei alap többrétegű és sokkal kidolgozottabb lett, Ronnie különleges gyorsbeszédét és Eminem-stílusú rap-jét könnyű volt felismerni. A heavy metal rész a "Self-Destruct Personality" vagy a "The Westerner" punk-rock felgyorsult refrénjét juttatja eszünkbe, és a lelassulás gyilkolt, mint a "Popular Monster" vagy a "Voices In My Head"-ben. E hasonlóságok ellenére a "Watch The World Burn" igazán egyedi remekmű, és teljesen más a hangzása, mint bármelyik korábbi FIR dalnak. Ismét a különleges műfaji összeolvadás tette megismételhetetlenné.

The song "Watch The World Burn" is a personal statement of Ronnie Radke against his enemies in the music industry and his haters in general. Almost like in a diss song, the lyrics speak directly to those addressed. Overall it's all a sensitive confession-like manifestation about his opinion of the surrounding world and his vulnerable state of mind.

A "Watch The World Burn" című dal Ronnie Radke személyes nyilatkozata a zeneiparban lévő ellenségei és általában a gyűlölői ellen. Szinte úgy, mint egy becsmérlő dalban, a szöveg közvetlenül beszél a megszólítottakhoz. Voltaképpen egy érzékeny, vallomásszerű megnyilvánulás az egész a környező világról alkotott véleményéről, és sérülékeny lelkiállapotáról.

The video was made by Jensen Noen, and besides being extremely rich in visual motifs and CGI backgrounds, includes many references to Ronnie's personal affairs, like they were winks at the current reality. The main reference was to the laptop story: Ronnie specifically included the scene of the posing blonde rocker, on whom the laptops fall, to remind us all of Sebastian Bach, and also the priest set on fire shows massive resemblance to Eddie Trunk.

A videót Jensen Noen készítette, és amellett, hogy rendkívül gazdag vizuális motívumokban és CGI-hátterekben, számos utalást tartalmaz Ronnie személyes ügyeire, mintha csak kikacsintana a jelenlegi valóságra. A fő utalás a laptopsztorira vonatkozik: Ronnie a pózoló szőke rocker jelenetét, akire a laptopok ráesnek, konkrétan azért tette bele a történetbe, hogy minket Sebastian Bachra emlékeztessen, és a felgyújtott pap is masszív hasonlóságot mutat Eddie Trunk-kal.

The song went viral from the first hour, and by the end of the 2nd week from the release, it reached 39 million streams on all platforms and 10 million views only on Youtube. None of FIR's songs reached this popularity before. "Watch The World Burn" also hit the charts from he first day, entered Billboard's Hot 100 for the first time ever, and came out the #1 most viewed video on YouTube worldwide. Tons of reaction videos were made upon the song and most of them reported on a positive shock: there has never been a band releasing a song this gross, this intense and this good at the same time.

A dal az első órától kezdve vírusként terjedt, a megjelenéstől számított 2. hét végére pedig elérte a 39 milliós streamet minden platformon, és a 10 milliós megtekintést csak a Youtube-on. A FIR egyik dala sem érte el korábban ezt a népszerűséget. A "Watch The World Burn" szintén az első naptól kezdve felkerült a slágerlistákra, először került be a Billboard Hot 100-ba, és világszerte az 1. legnézettebb videó lett a YouTube-on. Rengeteg reakcióvideó készült a dalról, és a legtöbb pozitív sokkról számolt be: még soha nem volt olyan zenekar, amely egyszerre adott volna ki ennyire durva, ilyen intenzív és ennyire jó dalt.

Falling In Reverse joined "Rockzilla 2nd Leg" tour on February 1st, along with Escape The Fate, Hollywood Undead and the co-headlining Papa Roach, just like they did last year. The are still on tour, playing at 21 venues within 6 weeks, all over United States.

As far for the future, Falling In Reverse has recently announced another mega-tour in June-July 2023, named The Popular MonsTour, headlining to Ice Nine Kills, Underoath, Crown The Empire and more promising bands. It will be their 2nd huge trip this year and the very first own arena tour all over the U.S.

Ami a jövőt illeti, a Falling In Reverse mostanában jelentette be a soron következő mega-turnéját 2023. június-júliusában, ami a The Popular MonsTour néven fut, és olyan zenekarok élén játszanak majd, mint az Ice Nine Kills, az Underoath, a Crown The Empire és mások. Ez lesz az idei második hatalmas turnéjuk, ugyanakkor az első saját aréna-turnéjuk az E. Á. teljes területén.


They even released a quality trailer to the upcoming tour, like they did to greater tours during the last years. The video contains a specifically touching message from Ronnie to his fans:
"They say hard times create strong people. And it really says a lot about a person when they're still standing after everything they've been through. And that's why I'm still here. And that's why I still tour. For my fans. For everyone that's ever supported me. Will see you guys soon."

Még egy minőségi trélert is készítettek az elkövetkező turnéhoz, ahogy az utóbbi években minden nagyobb turnéhoz tették. A videón egy kifejezetten megindító üzenet hallható, Ronnie-tól, a rajongóinak:
