5. God Of The Music Scene (A zenei élet istene) 2013-14
Falling In Reverse's second album, Fashionably Late came out in June 2013, and turned out to be the most controversial album in FIR's history. Ronnie used almost nothing from the songs he already had ready, he better followed the new musical styles trending and his intuition about what had to be made.
"Fashionably Late is a collection of everything I loved at the time. Almost death metal-style breakdowns, Japanese-influenced electro-pop, authentic and reverend hip-hop beyond "rap metal". I heard the phrase "everything-core" tossed around, but honestly, I believe we started a new mini-genre."*
"A Fashionably Late mindannak a gyűjteménye, amit akkoriban szerettem. Majdnem death-metal stílusú lelassulások, japán-hatású elektro-pop, hiteles és tiszteletet érdemlő hip-hop-al ötvözött "rap-metal". Hallottam felbukkanni a "minden-core" terminust is, de őszintén, űgy hiszem, ezúttal egy mini-műfajt hoztunk létre."

FIR literally changed their style from the 80's rockers to a "high-end fashion look". Ronnie had changed the whole band's outfit and his overall looks too. The music wasn't just rap-metal in the classical meaning of the word, where they would apply wordplay on rock guitars. Some said this album invented the genre of "trapcore". In fact Fashionably Late was including every music style trending at the moment, and Ronnie excelled in genre-bending.
The most polarizing song of the album was "Alone". It was made for a diss song at first of all, a rematch to all Ronnie's haters from prison time to actuality. It was difficult for the people to digest it, especially the bravado lyrics and video. Some critics said it was the worst genre-mixing of all times, but in fact it was just anticipating a rap-metal kinda trend getting accepted and liked in the future. And despite of all the critics "Alone" turned out to be the biggest song played live. (See the video attached to the name of the song in the list.)
Ronnie's angry response in "Alone" lyrics has never been more relevant than those times. He was a priori surrounded by hate because of his controversial character, the accusation of domestic abuse by his revengeous ex made his reputation even worse. Considering that he was just about to become a father, the stress of press attacks and the hatred of the gossip mob did not serve his interest.
Overall Fashionably Late made it to a groundbreaking album. It opened a new chapter in the life of Falling In Reverse and Ronnie Radke, and served as a mainstay to the further career of both separately. FIR's almost every subsequent successful song will reach back to this specific rap/metal based genre diversity, which becomes FIR's "brand" in the mean time. Ronnie himself, developing his musical versatility and aiming to the top of the music scene, will soon be working out a solo album based on his rapping ideas and capacities, which would be implying songs written by himself, certain covers and even collabs with different other musicians in the rock/rap scene.
