2. The Outburst (A kitörés) 2005-08

 


The band Escape The Fate was founded in 2005, in Las Vegas, originally by Ronnie Radke and followed the footsteps of True Story, which, by releasing Listen Up! was becoming more and more famous to the local audience and earned appreciation in underground music communities. Ronnie started to work on his outfit too, he brought in the "scene hair" and the skinny jeans, had a lot of tattooes and already seemed to be having the chances to become a new age rockstar. The band tried to promote themselves on- and offline too, made a MySpace account, printed out flyers, and colored their shows with simple but specific stage props.

Az Escape The Fate nevű együttes 2005-ben alakult, Las Vegasban, Ronnie Radke által, és követte a True Story nyomait, aminek, a Listen Up! felvétele óta egyre nagyobb sikerei voltak a helyi közönségnél és elismerést váltott ki underground zenei közösségekben. The first major breakthrough happened when Ronnie met producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette and recorded first ETF songs with him in his professional studio. By that time the band was already known and pretty hyped in the state. They used MySpace as social media and extended their notoriety by uploading songs, chatting and sharing about the band. The second breakthrough was when the band My Chemical Romance, who were already popular that time, decided to run a contest for beginner bands and take the winner on tour with them. ETF won the contest and went on tour with MCR, which led to a unsurpassed success and fame. Third and greatest stairstep was the meeting with Brett Gurewitz and the signing to Epitaph Records for the following up EP and album.

The genre they played was a very unique mixture of post-hardcore, punk-rock and emo music. The EP had a very positive feedback, people praised their melodic songs pervaded with a raw rage and fury, loved Ronnie's vocals and overall found ETF a very promising band.

A stílusuk nagyon egyedi keveréke volt a post-hardcore, a punk-rock és az emo műfajoknak. In May 2006, right before the release of  There's No Sympathy For The Dead, unfortunately Ronnie got involved into a fatal fight in the desert near Las Vegas, which, though he wasn't the one firing the gun, led him to probation first, then, after violating probation, he went to prison for 2,5 years. Even before the penalty to be served was certain, the EFT members decided to fire him and replace him with another singer, Craig Mabbitt. Escape The Fate continued without Ronnie Radke, playing a more raw and hard metalcore music afterwards, but the songs from the first two releases remained to be Ronnie's own and he still plays them on Falling In Reverse concerts to the delight of old time fans.

2006. júliusában, épp a There's No Sympathy For The Dead megjelenése előtt Ronnie sajnálatos módon egy halálos kimenetelű verekedésbe keveredett a Las Vegas melletti sivatagban, ami miatt, bár nem ő sütötte el a fegyvert, előbb próbaidőre ítélték, majd, a próbaidő megsértése után 2,5 évre szóló börtönbüntetést kapott. Még mielőtt a letöltendő büntetés bizonyossá vált volna, az ETF tagjai úgy döntöttek, megválnak tőle és egy másik énekessel, Craig Mabbittel helyettesítik.
